In my opinion, I think that the sun’s were the most important. The sun’s were the most important because they started the food chain and they kept it flowing until we reached the top. In the Energy Pyramid Lab that we did, the sun’s were constantly passing energy throughout the food chain. It would get boring being a sun because your always doing the same thing, but the repetition of the sun’s passing energy is super important because it keeps the energy moving through the food chain.
ReplyDeleteIf I could have one job in the food pyramid I would be a decomposer. I would pick this one job because I would be at the top of the food web or chain. Also because I would be anywhere just sitting for food to keep the food web going. A decomposer is at the top of the food web because they decompose dead animals that die and recycle them to start the food web and or food chain. That is the part of the food pyramid I would choose. What would you?
ReplyDeleteIf I could be any job in a energy pyramid then I would want to be a scavenger. I would want to be a scavenger because then when an animal dies off the food is just lying there. I do have some responsibilities and that is to make sure that I keep my part of the world clean from dead animals. The transfer of energy is really small because if the sun gives energy to the plant, then the plant uses only 10 percent of that to the herbivore when the plant gets eaten, then the herbivore only gives 10 percent to the carnivore when the herbivore gets eaten and so on. One of the negative parts of my job is there is lots of waiting. You have to wait till the carnivores dies off or the herbivore die and you have a meal.
ReplyDeleteIn our class’s energy pyramid activity, the students were put into five levels: suns, producers, herbivores, carnivores, and scavengers. If I were in a real energy pyramid, I would want to be a producer. This is because the job does not involve as much waiting as some of the higher levels. For instance, the scavenger said he had to wait just about the whole time we were doing the activity. Also, the repetition of our jobs helped me find a comfortable rhythm, which I work best with. Another reason is that it is nice to be important to the whole food chain, though perhaps not as important as the sun. However, a downside of this job is plants do a lot of work and rarely if ever get a break.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion I think the most important level in the Energy Pyramid is the sun. I think that the sun is the most important, because if there was no sun then how would plants live and if plants did not live then herbivores would die and if that happens then the carnivores would go extinct causing the scavenger to die and then the decomposer would have so much to decompose that all of the animals that died would be too much for the decomposer, then the world would go extinct because there is not any food left on earth. All of the parts to an energy pyramid is being used for something and if one parts go extinct then all of the other part will either over populate or die off because of the lack of food.
ReplyDeleteIf I had to pick the most important level of the energy pyramid in my opinion, it would be the sun. The sun’s job is to give off energy to plants that need it. Without the sun the producers won't grow and then the consumers would die and a chain reaction would start. Then the world will go cuckoo and there won't be any plants that give off oxygen and we would all die. That is why I think the sun is the most important.
ReplyDeleteI think that the most important level of energy on the pyramid is the sun. The reason why I think the sun is most important because the sun is the start of energy. The sun provides energy for plants so that they can produce their own food which is also known as photosynthesis. Plants are eaten by herbivores then the herbivores are eaten by the carnivores which are eaten by decomposers or scavengers after they die. The energy starts with the sun then ends with a carnivore or decomposer/ scavenger. This is why I think the sun is the most important level of energy.
ReplyDelete2. It think that the most important thing for the energy pyramid is the sun. It is most important thing because the sun gives energy to the producers and the sun starts the food chain. Given that it is not the decomposer, the sun still factors a lot in food chain.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion the sun is the most important piece in the food chain. The sun starts everything off. Without the sun there would be no producers, without the producers there would be no herbivores, without the herbivores there would be no carnivores, and without any carnivores there would be no scavengers. The either makes or breaks the food chain. Since the sun is always out, everything can get the energy that they need. There is only one thing that stops the sun from shining in this day and age and it is the clouds.
ReplyDeleteIf the sun does not count, then I say the producers. The producers are at the very front of the food chain. They give energy to the herbivore that eats them. Then the herbivore gives the remaining energy to the predator that eats it. Once the predator dies, either the scavenger or decomposers take over. This all started with the producer.
ReplyDeleteSincerely,
Cole L.
In my opinion, the most important level of energy in the food pyramid is the sun or the producers because those two levels are what start the food pyramids. I also believe that the other energy levels are just as important because they help with the energy flow and the balance between the organisms in the food pyramid just like the producers. For example if an organism was taken out then the other organism that eat that organism could starve because there would not be enough food. The organisms that are eaten by the organism taken out would become overpopulated. Then the organism that was eaten by that organism would soon run out and the organisms that ate that organisms would start to run out of food. The organisms that were eaten by those organisms would overpopulate and so on.
ReplyDeleteI think that the most important part of the energy pyramid is the sun. I think this is true because without the sun, nothing could live. The sun is also the start of the energy pyramid, and provides energy to producers, which keeps the energy pyramid flowing.
ReplyDeleteThe most important part of the food chain in my opinion is the sun, or the first level of energy on the food pyramid. The sun is the most important because it starts the food chain, and without the sun the transfer of energy is not possible. Without the sun, the producers aren’t able to survive and grow, which means no food for the consumers, which means the carnivores will be feasting, but after awhile they will die out also. So, without the sun, there might not even be a food chain or even animals and other living organisms. All producers need energy to transfer to the consumers or herbivores, and without the energy, it would impact the whole food chain dramatically.
ReplyDeleteIf I was apart of the energy pyramid I would be the sun because it is the main part of the entire pyramid otherwise the whole entire pyramid would fall apart. The sun is the main part of the energy because the sun is the energy. A negative part of being the sun is every other thing relies on you for the energy.
ReplyDeleteIf I was a part the energy pyramid the job I would want would be the producer. I would want to be the producer because producers are a big part they plant seeds and help plants grow so that the herbivores can have food and then the carnivores will have food then the scavengers will have food. I think people think that producers don't do much but everything is important in the food chain. When we did the pyramid activity we passed seeds up to the herbivores and that ties to how energy gets transferred in real life for example if a zebra eats grass then the energy from that plant goes to the zebra. Sometimes being a producer has drawbacks such as storms ruining plants and sometimes plants are growing and don’t survive.
ReplyDeleteThe level of the energy pyramid that I think is the most important is the sun because it gives the producers energy and it starts and gives every thing else in front of its self energy. Also the sun is important because it gives energy for plants to grow otherwise plants would die out and consumers and herbivores will not have plants to eat and they may die too.

ReplyDeleteDear Mrs. Blake
I learned so much about food chains and food webs. If I were part of a real energy pyramid I would want to be a carnivore. A carnivore is in charge of keeping all the other animals from overpopulating. Take the Red-Tailed Hawk for example. These feathery flyers keep the small mammals like squirrels and rabbits from overpopulating. After the hawk dies, it is recycled into nature as nutrients for the soil. So the food chain there is the grass gets nutrients from the sun, the grass is eaten by the rabbits or squirrels, which are then eaten by the hawk. The hawk is then decomposed by fungus which then gives energy to the grass and it starts all over again. Even though it would be nice to be at the top of the food chain, being a predator has its disadvantages as well. Every predator usually can’t just go out and eat something like a herbivore so most predators spend the majority of their time waiting for their next meal. Because the predators only get so much energy from each meal, most predators including lions, leopards, or sharks spend a lot of time sleeping or conserving energy so they are able to have enough energy when they hunt again. Because of these reasons, I think that I would want to be a carnivore if I were part of a real food pyramid because carnivores play such an important role in our ecosystems.
Sincerly,
Liam A.

In my opinion the most important level in the energy pyramid is the decomposer. The decomposer’s job is to recycle the dead plants and animals so that the energy can be reused. I believe this is most important because without them we have a bunch of dead plants and animals laying around and a bunch of wasted energy. Decomposers help all organisms in a way because they recycle the dead animal or plant and their waste goes into the soil. The waste helps the plants grow which gives food to the herbivores. The herbivores are then well fed and living giving carnivores food. Soon those carnivores die and the decomposers can recycle and help even more plants and animals out. This is why I believe decomposers are the most important level in the transfer of energy.

ReplyDeleteIn my opinion the sun is the most important. The reason is because the sun starts the whole thing. The sun is the thing that passes the beans or food to the producer and the the producer passes it down. The process keeps on moving, sun passes down to producer and the producer passes down to the next and then the system keeps going. Thanks to the sun we don’t have dead animals lying around everywhere.
The Question I was asked was, what is the most important level in the food chain, why I think that and what evidence do I have to back that up. First of all the most important level of the food chain is the sun. The reason that is the most important level is because it provides the most. How it provides the most is it provides for the producers, who provides for the herbivores, who provide for the carnivores, who provide for the scavenger. They keep everything alive and without the sun none of the levels in the food chain would be even remotely alive. So basicly they start the food chain. Without the sun there would be no food chain. The sun is also working none stop whereas all of the rest of the levels get breaks. That is all I have to say about the food chain.

In my opinion I would have to say the most important thing I have learned from the energy pyramid. First off in the pyramid the sun people had the most hardest job or in other words the only job to be the ones who could never ever take one second off. The reason why of my explanation says this is... While the sun’s are working 24/7 and so this the most important part of the energy because pretend it all just the suns stopped working so then afterwards the plant begins to stop and then begins to shrivel up and die. So basically this why in MY opinion why this job is the most important.

ReplyDeleteI think the most important part in food chains or food webs is the sun. The reason why I think the sun is the most important part in food chains or food webs is because it gives producers energy so they can survive. In the real world if the sun wasn't here then the producers couldn't get food so than the herbivores couldn't get food and the carnivores couldn't get food. So the whole food chain would shut down just because the sun wasn't there to play its part.

The most important thing I’ve learned is that it’s pretty hard being a sun, because the sun is constantly making food for the consumers, because they can’t make there own food. The sun never gets a break its constantly working working working nonstop.
ReplyDeleteI'd say all of them are important because if you take just one level of the the pyramid out the whole thing could crumble and the entire planet could die out. mainly because the consumers help keep things balanced. Also if that happened the producers would overgrow and eventually nothing but the producers would just keep growing and eventually die out if an asteroid or anything hit or destroyed the earth it might just restart the entire world like the dinosaurs.
ReplyDeleteIf I was a part of a real energy pyramid, I would be a producer. I would be a producer because a producer gets the most energy. Being a producer is important because a producer passes the energy to the next organism. The energy moves from one organism to the next. A negative thing would be a herbivore eating a dying producer. Then the herbivore would get sick. The effect would keep going until the illness gets to the top predator. After that there will be nothing left of the food chain.
ReplyDeleteIf I had a Job in a pyramid I would be the sun. Why I would be the sun because the sun is the most important job of the pyramid. The sun is the most important job because the sun starts the pyramid by giving the plant energy to continue.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion the producer is the most important because without them the consumers would die. Then the ret would just slowly die out and nothing would have any food. So that is why I think that the producer is the most important part.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion I think that the producers are the most important part of the Energy Pyramid. The producers are so important because they get energy from the sun. A herbivore eats the producer then the carnivore eats the herbivore. then later on in the organisms life if gets old and dies or another animal eats then a scavenger comes and takes as much as it can have then a decomposer comes and the dead body or plant gives the earth nutrients.
ReplyDeleteThe sun is the most important because if you take the sun out then no energy will be transferred to the plants then the herbivore will die then the carnivore will die then the scavengers will die then the decomposers will overpopulate. I know that because if you flip the energy pyramid then no one will survive because there is not enough food.
ReplyDeleteI think the most important part of the energy pyramid is the producers. I think it's the producers because the are the beginning of a food chain and a food wed. They give animals food to survive. Also, the trees give oxygen to people and give food to both humans and animals.
ReplyDeleteIf I was a part of an energy pyramid I would be a predator. I would be a predator because predators only die by disease or time, I wouldn't be hunted. A predator is most important because it keeps population under control. The only thing bad about being a predator is disease. In the end of the food chain a decomposer would recycle nutrients back to the beginning of the food chain.
